Shelbyville Queen Citys Snapback Hat

$25.00
The Shelbyville Queen Citys were a minor league baseball team based in Shelbyville, Illinois. In 1907 and 1908, the Shelbyville Queen Citys played exclusively as members of the Class D level Eastern Illinois League and hosted home games at Forest Park.

The QC's were managed by "Old Wagon Tongue" Joe Adams, the "godfather" of the Eastern Illinois League.

The league only lasted 2 seasons when former Major Leaguer and teetotaler Billy Sunday sought to abolish alcohol in the region by getting ballot initiatives passed. The league was mainly supported by saloons and when 6 of the 8 cities in the league voted to become dry towns, saloon support stopped and Sunday games were banned, and the league suffered financially.

We liked the idea of making a brand for them, and since we couldn't find anything existing, we made it!

This hat is structured with a classic fit, flat brim, and full buckram. The adjustable snap closure makes it a comfortable, one-size-fits-most hat.

• 80% acrylic, 20% wool
• Structured, 6-panel, high-profile
• 6 embroidered eyelets
• Plastic snap closure
• Green undervisor
• Head circumference: 21⅝″–23⅝″ (54.9 cm–60 cm)
• Blank product sourced from Vietnam or Bangladesh

This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction, so thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!
